Dosimetry: We have 1 more lecture, where we get to go and see the block shop at MGH, where they make the treatment blocks in. Should be pretty interesting. The class that follows that, is a final review for our final examination. We have 1 last homework due in there on the last class, and then that's it. All that is left is our Final Exam on March 27th. (that's a lot of use of the word final...haha)
Radiation Biology: That class we have 3 more classes, two this week, and one next week. We are covering the last few chapters and will be doing a review there as well. The final exam for that class, is still up in the air regarding the format of it. Either way, I bet it will be tough as there is a lot of material to remember. That final exam, if given in class, will be on the same day, March 27th, as my dosimetry exam. Now that's a rough day.
Clinical III Class: We just had our very last clinical III class today. Very wierd to think about. Next Tuesday, we are going to be giving our final presentations on any topic of choice, approximately 15 min long. We need to know our information front to back, as we will have to be answering questions from the rest of the class and Gina (my professor), immediately afterwards. The topic I am choosing for that is the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and how that was our inital form of data collection for radiations biological effects on humans.
Clinical III Lab (working in the hospital): So it's getting down to the wire, as we only have this Weds and next Weds of clinical hours left. We can choose to go in on any other time before May 1st of course if there is stuff we need to finish. I am hoping I won't have to do that. There are however a few oral compatencies I have to perform ( a one-on-one questioning of information in your case study you write up about patients and their treatment). That makes nervous because the case studies have to be very detailed and take a while to do. I will have 1 more compatency to do as of tomorrow! So wish me luck!
It may not sound like too much, and by all means it definately could be worse. But it is still a lot of work ahead of me.
But just in case any of you are wondering........
